Alternative assessments are projects that can be completed instead of a quiz or a test. Students will have the opportunity to choose to do the alternative assessment or the quiz for some lessons. If the student comes to a quiz that has an alternative assessment available, they will see the alternative assessment listed under the quiz name.Students should discuss this decision with their parent or advisor to determine if they should do the quiz or the alternative assessment or both! If they do the alternative assessment, it will count as a test grade.Important: The student must select an alternative assessment or a quiz. The student cannot click NEXT on a quiz without completing it unless they have completed the alternative assessment. The student can click on the alternative assessment directly in the side-bar instead. Once the alternative assessment OR the quiz is completed, the assessment option is checked off.The student can also complete both assessments. The score for each will be calculated into their grade.
