The ability to be hands-on is so important when teaching about charity Bridgeway wants to help too, so any student who participates in the service opportunities below can turn in receipts or proof of participation for community service hours. With our high school students needing 15 service hours per year, and colleges and even trade schools wanting to see students volunteering, this is a great way to add hours to their transcript. They are also learning about giving, which is vital.

See our list below for recommendations. Participation in any of these opportunities is optional.

CWS: This organization gives families a chance to make a variety of kits for families facing a crisis. Everything from hygiene to refugee aid to emergency clean-up buckets and backpacks for students. Go to the link here for information on how to build them. Billion Graves: For those who like to adventure out, this has become a popular volunteer organization among our Beta students. It doesn’t cost anything, but it provides valuable genealogy/ancestry information. This is a great option for rural families who know of small plots spread out on old farms or churches and for our international families. https://billiongraves.com/  Hours: Log the hours taking photos, transcribing, and uploading. Send your advisor some of the pictures too.

Check out what is in each option for donating. It could be clothing, handmade goods, household items, or even electronics.
